The White House threatened Friday to veto the Senate's $440 billion military spending bill if it restricts the Pentagon's treatment of terror-war detainees. It's the second time this year the Bush administration has threatened to veto a Senate defense measure over Republican-sponsored amendments that would impose limits on how the U.S. military can detain, treat or prosecute terrorism suspects.
