ACLU: Pentagon Sought Citizens\' Bank Records

Sequence of events started with NYTimes article in January. ACLU asked for a FOIA report and found about 450 signing letters, requesting data by DOD. Some were about civilians. Recipients included ISPs, banks and credit agencies.
