Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez denied that his government had "a hidden agenda," as some U.S. politicians have suggested, in distributing discounted heating oil to low-income American families. Chavez also said Monday that Venezuela's Citgo Petroleum Corp., which has sold millions of gallons of heating oil at a 40 percent discount in northeastern U.S. states, could further help needy Americans by establishing a social fund. |
