Mitt Romney criticized the administration for its dealings with Chen Guangcheng, who made a daring escape from house arrest and then fled to the U.S. embassy. Romney said. 'If these reports are true, this is dark day for freedom and it's a day of shame for the Obama Administration. We are a place of freedom, here and around the world and we should stand up and defend freedom wherever it is under attack.' Romney, who had in some ways been on the defenisve all week on the foreign policy front expressed dismay over the situation. He has said that if he is elected, he would label China a currency manipulator and be tougher on the human rights front.
