Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said he would consider accepting an invitation to serve as the Republican vice presidential nominee, but doubts that he would be asked to be Mitt Romney's running mate.
Bush made his comments to the conservative West Palm Beach-based website, Newsmax.com. "Well I'd consider it, but I doubt I'll get a call, and I don't know if it's the right thing for me to do," Bush said. "I didn't run for president for a similar kind of reason, so I'm all in to try to help him get elected." Bush added that he believed Sen. Marco Rubio , R-Fla., would be the best choice. "I think the combination would be extraordinary," Bush said. |
