|The US senate has approved new economic sanctions on Iran in a bid to discourage international banks from doing business with the Central Bank of Iran. The US senators have, via the latest anti-Iran motion, called for freezing of the US-based assets of any financial institution that engages in financial exchanges with the CBI.|
