And what have I learned? Just this. At a time when the gap between the rich and poor is widening faster than the distance between ice sheets in the Arctic, at a time when corporations have no real regard for their employees and move to another country as soon as they find cheaper labor, even if it contributes to third world poverty, then any politician elected to represent us in the machinery of our government better be actually representing us and not giving our wealth to those corporations, especially if those same politicians turn to us and pretend they're doing us right by bringing us jobs that we end up having to subsidize through higher taxes. |
