Former Ambassador Edward Peck [1], a career diplomat who served as deputy director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism [2] during the presidency of Ronald Reagan, was on board a ship that was part of the flotilla carrying aid to the Gaza Strip when Israeli commandos seized the vessels in a deadly raid Monday.
