If are to believe anti-Arab racists and Islamophobes, Palestinians in particular and Arabs in general are a sub-human species capable only of violence, the "Mad dog argument", and consequently violence against them is justified. Ironically, this is the kind of argument, a demonic stereotype, that the Nazis used against the Jews.

However this belies a history of Palestinian peace protests that the media has chosen to ignore.
