While educational anti-drug programs such as the 26-year-old D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) continue to thrive internationally, the principal investigators of the Vancouver-based Urban Health Research Initiative (UHRI) joined a long line of critics in denouncing D.A.R.E.'s effectiveness at a local press conference last week.
