I know a Fracker. He is suffering for his participation in the assault on the earth. I understand why he does what he does -- he truly needs the money. The lure of extremely good money is very hard for landmen and roughnecks alike to walk away from. The real story here is about how our Christo/Capitalist/European thinking does not provide for a true respect for the planet nor a sense of personal responsibility for its care and husbandry. Our Native American brothers and sisters have been trying to talk to us about this since we got here. |
