|Sen. Lindsey Graham is urging the U.S. to consider boycotting next year's Olympics in Russia if the country grants asylum to NSA leak source Edward Snowden, saying it would put pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin. The U.S. infamously boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The Soviet Union responded by boycotting the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Graham's position seems far from gaining universal acclaim. Already, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said that anyone advocating a boycott is 'dead wrong,' saying it would unfairly punish athletes.|
