San Francisco City College is one the largest community colleges in the nation, with 90,000 students in attendance and 2,700 faculty and staff. As is well known, the school is facing threats of closure by the college body of the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation commission. It must be made clear that this threat is a blackmail scheme forged by WASC and its generous funders in the Lumina Foundation, to force through the draconian anti-student, anti-faculty budget cuts the school has been able to somewhat resist over the past years.
