Adrien Brody and Forest Whıtaker plays in "The Experiment' and we remember "The Game' "The Hungery',"The Mindhunters' etc. Movie "The Experiment' presents superficial physiological fixing but ideological mean proceeds are like liberal even radical. But end of is classical.
About 20 people is chosen by a researching company for a physiological experiment and taken to a prison. Some of these people (minority) become prison officer (Guardian) and others (Majority) become prisoner. All of these people don't have any problem each one before experiment and they accept these roles for fourteen thousand dollars end of 2 week experiment.
Movie's rhetoric is on what about 20 people can do fourteen thousand dollars; torture, rape, beat etc. Leading roles are delivered 2 opposite characters. Bad man is a black, feminen, lives with mother, 42 year old and religionist. He is humanistic before experiment and buddy with good man. This man becomes prison officer. Good man is younger than black, he is a normal white male and not religionist even atheist (I think). This man becomes prisoner. These are ok. Some good black males and some bad white males provide balance. Ok.
Movie is like a demonstration of capitalist system is bad because of relations. People play bad roles because of capital but they are good man out of system, while they are alone or privately with other actors. System rises on relations even if these relations include torture, punishment, rape etc. "We strive for money man, go on to role' says bad man. When bad man (feminen and humanistic at guardian role) sees prisoners accept himself first violence action, feels penis erections. After erection he resolves to a psychopath. "His repressed motions' appear step by step during movie. His violence actions are submitted by sexual compulsive and white guardian friend and bad leading role, this miserable man resolves to leadership of guardians. No one can hold him even if others prisoner officers.
And other group, prisoners. Good man at leading role can't separate this is an experiment, game or all is real hell. These guardians are friends whom he knows before experiment. At final he lives a violence attack.
Religionist role's problematic character and atheist role's heroic actions, hero defines evolution theory, his occupation is social service worker and has regular relation with a beautiful woman before experiment, and these claim some liberal messages. But we see a big green field after that gloomy and awful prison acts. Return to nature, return to past, return to first days of world, these depressive escaping, relaxing escaping are repeated at the movie. Hollywood classical and rightwinger rhetoric seems again and we say "how a nice the past.'
And where is USA government; they catches criminals, punishes company officers and rhetoric is completed.
