Diary: We Need You To Believe; Day 3

Tuesday update: We're about $850 behind for the month. That's further behind than yesterday. We really, really need your help to make budget this month.

And, a few weeks ago, on 9/11/12 I asked Paul Craig Roberts, What do you think about OpEdNews? He replied.

Well, I think that it's a remarkable a site that's associated with liberal, progressive" permits a wide range of opinion. And therefore I think that i it does what the media's suppose to do. It's supposed to offer a forum for all views. And it's supposed to report what's actually going on. And to investigate what's actually going on. And it's not supposed to say, "oh no, we can't talk about that', for example. Or we can't talk about Bush lying about "weapons of mass destruction'. "Oh no, we don't do that!' Or, "we can't talk about 9/11!'. Or "we can't" 'or" Those kinds of things" destroy the ability of people to know if things can't be talked about. So I think that your site is good and is to be commended because it introduces a wide range of views. It's not an ideologically determined site. And it's not determined by a corporate interest. So, more power to you!

We're a platform where the bravest progressive voices get a hearing. Today, we have an article by a homeless young man. We have the latest thinking from Cynthia McKinney, coverage of the debate, with very different perspectives. We routinely cover the activists as they engage in life or freedom threatening actions.

We do all this on a shoestring budget that is a tiny fraction of any other major progressive media site. And we're way behind this month. We need to see donations come in right away or things will start looking really bad.

We know why this is happening this month. We know you are getting hit from all sides with requests for donations. So it's necessary that this be written, to remind you to help Opednews.com. After the candidates go to Capitol Hill and start serving the corporatists-- we'll still be there, if you help keep us alive-- putting the pressure on them, exposing their betrayal of the American dream.
