There was a video about how the right wing would send out their daily talking points to the media and all their talking heads would be saying the exact same things all day long. Propagating the message, I guess Bush would say. :::::::: Constance Lavender just posted an article about a Democratic Party strategy video that was released before the debate. Of course immediately after the debate there would be strategy directives to all Democratic Party operatives as to how to spin the debate to show that Obama won and McCain lost.
So I wasn't at all surprised to find two (2) newly headlined articles on opednews, one by Anthony Wade entitled, "Team McFailin - Desperation and Mud," and the other by Brent Budowsky entitled, "John McCain: The Mount Vesuvius of Mud."
So there we are, kiddies. We've got our post-debate talking point, so y'all get out there and hammer it home. Forget about the bailout. Forget about the fact that the Democrats led the push for the bailout and both candidates supported the bailout. Forget about the fact that as the New York Times and other sources just reported, "a week after the insurance giant, the American International Group, received an $85 billion federal bailout, its life insurance subsidiary, AIG General, held a weeklong retreat for its top sales agents at the exclusive St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, Calif. Expenses for the week, lawmakers were told, totaled $442,000, including $200,000 for hotel rooms, $150,000 for food and $23,000 in spa charges."
The economy was a talking point many elections back. Don't go there. It isn't relevant. We've got an election to win so get on out there and do your stuff -- and don't forget to mention the mud!
I'm an anti-civilizationist and election boycott advocate in San Diego. For reasons not to vote in faith-based elections with secret vote counts for candidates you cannot hold accountable if they fail to represent you, check out the discussions, (more...)
