I used to eat a lot of Beef and I think that the USDA has no right to prohibit testing of Beef for BSE.

More power to the Koreans. Maybe they will force the United States to at least allow the testing of US Beef for BSE. I now only eat beef when I am a guest of someone and they are only serving beef.

I use to eat beef almost everyday, but since the mad cow in the USA and what I think was a cover up, I have avoided beef. I was glad to see that someone is radiating beef. Will this kill the Prions that cause BSE?

Omaha Steaks is only irradiating our burgers and ground beef. And unfortunately, irradiation will not kill the Prions that cause BSE.

Omaha Steaks requires our suppliers to remove central nervous tissue (where prions are found) on raw material sold to Omaha Steaks.  Unfortunately, USDA currently bans voluntary BSE testing.  The USDA has sole authority to control the access and the use of the test kits needed to perform the BSE testing.

The Federal Government is supposed to protect its citizens, yet it continues to allow the USDA to forbid companies from testing for BSE. What is the USDA hiding?

TELL THE USDA THAT ANY COMPANY THAT WANTS TO TEST FOR BSE MUST BE ALLOWED TO DO SO!!!
