Obama asked to steer clear of his old pastor, Rev. Wright: potential dangers of association are set forth in this short letter.... :::::::: Letter to Barack Obama: Please distance yourself from Reverend Wright! Dear Barack: We have been supporting your effort to become the Democratic Party nominee and, hopefully, President of the United States. We were proud of your recent performance on FOX News (you did well to accept the interview), and we enthusiastically laud your efforts to steer clear of the 'low road' being taken by the Clintons. That is extremely important to us as your supporters, and, we believe, to your success in this Presidential bid. But a word to the wise...... You must completely distance yourself from the Rev. Wright. He has the potential of absolutely and totally destroying any chance you have of becoming President. At this point, he is really 'out of touch.' He is inconsiderately concerned with his own image, and seemingly cares little about your sincere efforts or our chances to implement the kind of change you envision for this country. You MUST wash your hands of him and thus put the nation at ease --- if you want continued support and a chance at the Presidency. He is far more damaging to you than Hillary or John could possibly be. He has selfishly captured the attention of the nation and the news media. Disavowing him and his views may be difficult, but it is something you MUST do. He is speaking as a clown and a maniac. It is very sad that this has happened. We believe this is and will be the biggest hurdle you will face between now and November. We pray you can successfully move through this. On behalf of many supporters -- Dan Rusthoi Obama Supporter from Santa Fe, New Mexico
