There are many questions about the authenticity of this tape. Why the CIA is not tracking down the owners of this website where this tape is posted? CIA has all the resources and technology to track down the owners and operators of this website and ultimately track down Bin Laden, dead or alive.

::::::::

The Associated Press reports from Cairo, Egypt, that a new audio tape of Osama bin Laden has been posted on a militant Web site that has carried al-Qaida statements in the past and bore the logo of the extremist group's media wing Al-Sahab.

As usual the AP quoted a U.S. counterterrorism official in Washington as saying that: "CIA analysis assesses with a high degree of confidence it is Osama bin Laden's voice on the tape" and that there was "no reason to doubt bin Laden is alive."

In the purported tape Osama bin Laden has accused Pope Benedict XVI of helping in a "new Crusade" against Islam and warned of a "severe" reaction to European publications of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that offended 1.3 billion Muslims.

However, it is not important what Bin Laden says in this purported tape but the significant is the occasion of its release. The tape is released on March 19 which is the 5th anniversary of US war in Iraq where “our mission remains unaccomplished.”

There are many questions about the authenticity of this tape. Why the CIA is not tracking down the owners of this website where this tape is posted? CIA has all the resources and technology to track down the owners and operators of this website and ultimately track down Bin Laden, dead or alive.

This all leads to only one conclusion: this audio tape is no more than another attempt to keep the ghost of Bin Laden alive. This is not Bin Laden’s first tape and it may not be his last audio or video tape as our propaganda machine (corporate media) continues to spin such lies as repeated lies become reality.
