This will be my shortest OpEd ever.
My Wife and I Just Registered as a Republican for the First Time In Our Lives to Vote for RON PAUL. Here's why.::::::::
This will be my shortest OpEd ever.
The Vietnam War cost the United States 58000 lives and 350000 casualties. It also resulted in between one and two million Vietnamese deaths. The School of the Americas trained most of Latin America's rightist anti-union dictators. The result was the ruination of democracy after democracy, Guatemala, Chile, etc. etc., with hundreds of thousands tortured and murdered. Democracies have been ruined worldwide for corporate power to oppress people worldwide by the CIA militarist agendas out of Washington DC.
Today due to the illegal wars, or in the name of them, we are losing our rights, being spied on by our intelligence establishment, and our nation is going broke paying for illegal immoral activities worldwide.
No candidate has campaigned on ending that except one . . . Ron Paul.
Liberals, which I always considered myself one, rant at me about Ron Paul and public education, Ron Paul and abortion, etc. etc.
HERE'S THE DEAL. SHORT AND SWEET.
When faced with an opportunity to end mass murder and murderous poverty worldwide caused by our CIA militarist establishment . . . all I can say is that that is more important to me than these other issues. You can rant all you want, but that will be most important to me.
Ending global misery and mass murder being conducted with my tax dollars, in my name, . . . is my priority at this time in history. If a Democrat stood up and promised to end all that . . . I'd happily vote for them. They haven't and I won't. This time the Dems are actually getting more Military Industry Complex Money than the GOP for a long time. Something is wrong (of course with the GOP but also with the corporate Dems).
Ron Paul is the only candidate I can support in this election. Some will point to Kucinich. I like Dennis, but even he has not promised to end the empire. No Democrat has promised to pull troops out of Afghanistan, let alone Japan, Korea, Germany, etc. etc.
Ron Paul is the only one with the courage. He stands alone attacked by left and by the right, attacked by media of the left and right.
I for one stand with Ron Paul.
