:::::::: I am quite alarmed that I went to the
State of Vermont complained about on the job sexual harassment and
having my pay garnished illegally without my permission. That story
[click here]. The State told me to call the Federal Wage and Hour
Division in Burlington, VT. I called them, they told me, that the
State should take the complaint. So, this is how our government
“works” in a nutshell, should we be getting the government and
justice that our tax dollars pay for?
I contacted area lawyers and was told
that on the job sexual harassment or enduring a hostile work
environment isn't worth anything for males, as juries don't have
sympathy and are unwilling to give just monetary awards unless it is
male on female. What!!!??? The owner of the used car dealership,
Mark's Motors Inc., Brattleboro, VT, pays for advertisements in the
local newspapers in Vermont and in New Hampshire. So, would they bite
the hand that feeds them and report the news? Filing a complaint
could mean no compensation, retaliation, and being black balled for
life.
What does the above scenario say about
the quality of government that we the people have and about the
quality of our “justice system”?
