|
What convoluted logic and abandonment of principles could lead the Nobel Peace Prize Committee to elect a superficial man of compromised beliefs, who is openly waging war in three countries, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan while continuing Bush-Cheney's not so clandestine military policies against Iran and various other countries on multiple continents?
Perhaps the better question is, "What principles?" After all, this Committee once gave Dr. Strangelove, Henry Kissinger himself, the Nobel Peace Prize, travesty upon travesty. ::::::::

Hey, hey, Obama baby,
how many Afghans did you bomb today?
The clowns in Oslo have blessed your forays,
the murderous drones, the high-tech missiles
eviscerating families, mothers and daughters.
Welcome to Henry Kissinger's Faux Fraternity,
that includes the likes of Shimon Peres,
or Theodore Roosevelt of San Juan Hill,
while shunning peacemakers like Mahatma Ghandi,
or Dorothy Day, even Pope John Paul.
Hey, hey, Obama baby!
How many children did you murder today,
in the basins or mountains of Pak-Afghanistan
for the sake of hatred and collective paranoia?
Oslo Norway, the ghost of Orwell's new name
for the capital of Oceania, Airstrip One,
where War is Peace and Torture is Love
in the sophists' new language of semantic
butchery, fit for the cattle and sheep
of the Matrix.
Hey, hey, Obama baby!
How many humans will you rendition today
in the name of Love for the Inquisition
still shattering beings for Your War of Terror
against the scapegoats of the War Machine?
Pax Americana, Pax Americana!
Abandon all Hope, Ye that Enter!
