The NAACP is calling for a federal investigation into the case of Pennsylvania death row prisoner and journalist Mumia Abu-Jamal. This compilation of stories is featured at the front page of Abu-Jamal-News.com ::::::::
On April 6, 2009,
the US Supreme Court rejected Mumia Abu-Jamal's bid for a new
guilt-phase trial, but the Court still has not ruled on the DA's effort
to execute Abu-Jamal WITHOUT a new sentencing hearing.
As reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer, supporters responded by organizing a campaign calling for a federal investigation into Mumia's case.
At the NAACP National Convention in July, a resolution was passed
calling on Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate Mumia's case, as
well as those of Troy Davis, Marshall Eddie Conway and Reggie Clemons. PLEASE TAKE ACTION AND SUPPORT THE CAMPAIGN HERE
