|
President Obama, like all Presidents before him, only listen to the rich and political elite. He never hears the real view of the Average American - and if he were interested in our well-being, he would act to change this immediately! :::::::: President Obama;
We know that you rely upon the advice of the rich and famous, and those who are
"Political Elites." It's said that you arose from humble beginnings;
however, unlike some people who made it to greatness, it appears that you have
failed to recognize your heritage or where you once were - just another average
American.
Our Congress doesn't represent us; instead they are bought-off by an army of
lobbyists. If Congress doesn't express the view of the "Average
American", and it's us who are the majority of the population, then where
and how do you make policy decisions that affect the conman man - not the rich
and elite? That said, it's obvious that the average American receives no
recognition or even has an opinion in your administration - just like that of
other Presidencies.
How about doing something unprecedented? Appoint someone who is an average
American to listen to once a week or so to find out what the majority of
Americans think, the misery we're being accustomed to, and in doing so, would
hear the other side of the coin, not just worthless opinions from the wealthy
and political elitists that couldn't care less whether we live or die. A fair
question to ask is whether even you care whether we live or die, become
homeless and hopeless - and thus opt out of ever trusting government again.
They say the United States
is becoming radicalized; perhaps it is, but not by radical Islam, but through
misery and poverty - the very elements that Radical Islam uses for its
recruits! Mr. Obama, if you don't take the time to listen to the
"heartbeat of America", I fear that you will lose the country to
anarchy and people who have become so disenfranchised with the government that
they have lost hope, and when an individual loses hope, he or she is prone to
do just about anything and care little for the consequences.
I'm one of those people Mr. Obama, and I have my ear to the street; I hear
Black American calling you a "House &^%^&*, and I won't bother to
say the rest of the phrase - because I'm sure that you know what it is. A more
colloquial phrase would be "Uncle Tom", and that's being uttered on
the streets too. You're losing your base President Obama, and unless you take
the time to hear the concerns of the people who voted you in office, your Presidency
will be one of monumental failure - and I believe it's coming faster than even
you could imagine.
The wealthy and influential political elites who are advising you have lit the
fuse of discontent, and the growing rumblings of the everyday American are
growing in intensity. I hope it's not your intent to let this grow until it
explodes into something we haven't witnessed since the Civil War, and if it is,
from what my observations are - you are succeeding far faster than even you
could have thought, and only you can put out this fire of rage and anger that's
growing through the streets of the United States, and until you listen to the
people, it will become far worse than it is.
Put your ear to the streets President Obama, that's where you came from, and I
know that you must realize how fast our nation is heading for something that I
consider to be unspeakable - and only your sympathy and understanding of the
roots from where you came can stop this growing anger and rage in America. If you
are truly a "President of the People", then I'd advise you to listen to
them - not those who care nothing of our future.
William Cormier
I am nothing more than a patriotic American that is doing whatever I can to further the cause of democracy, the rule of law, and am absolutely outraged on how the Bush administration is defying our Congress, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights! (more...)
