Ever wonder why countries like Brazil, which has a large economy and population, don't devote half their resources to militarism and running around invading other countries thousands of miles away in the specious name of self-defense? Could it be that culturally they are too mellow, too psychologically and sexually mature to be susceptible to all the paranoia, projection and sadism that many Americans are riddled with, not infected nearly as much with what psychiatrist Wilhelm Reich called the Emotional Plague, which festers in heavily repressed societies. Check out this new Michael Franti video shot in Rio de Janeiro. In Rio they know how to groove; they know how to move; they know how to enjoy love and life.
