A few months ago while researching degenerate freemason Arlen Specter, I came across a NY Times article from 2006 titled A Secret Society, Spilling a Few Secrets' which revealed an interesting tidbit about Bill Bratton, the chief of police of Los Angeles:
"In the hallways of the grand lodge headquarters, the walls are crowded with framed photographs of Masons past and present, but mostly past: Hubert H. Humphrey, the former vice president; and William J. Bratton, the former police commissioner who is now the chief of police in Los Angeles. "
This should be of concern, or at the very least noted, by anyone who appreciates open and transparent government. Freemasonry has a long and sordid history of subterfuge, murder and occultism. As a Catholic and liberty advocate, I am well aware, as all Catholics should be, of the church's teaching on this matter throughout the centuries. Pope Leo XIII was particularly steadfast in his insistance to educate the masses on the dangers of freemasonry, and even wrote an encyclical on it:
Â
"We wish it to be your rule first of all to tear away the mask from Freemasonry and to let it be seen as it really is." Pope Leo XIII, HUMANUM GENUS ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII ON FREEMASONRY- 1884 [It can be read online, here ].
Â
"Filled with the spirit of Satan, who knows how to transform himself into an angel of light, Freemasonry puts forward as its pretended aim the good of humanity. Paying a lip service to the authority of law, and even to the obligations of religion, it aims at the destruction of civil authority and the Christian priesthood, both of which it regards as the foes of human liberty." -Pope Leo XIII
Here is a placard memorializing Pope Leo XIII atop the Vatican, which I noticed on my visit there a few months ago:
There has long been a steadfast and vigilant oppositon to freemasonry and the secrecy that accompanies it. Anyone in a position of power such as that which Bratton holds should be held accountable, and answer as to why he participates secret oaths. How can he hold public trust when he participates in secret oaths which, according to the masons themselves, the punishment is death for betraying their secrets? Just recently, freemaons were arrested by police in Fiji for particpating in occult activity with a human skull. [See Fiji freemasons held for sorcery ]. Ben Franklin, a high level mason, had ten bodies buried under his home, six of them children. This of course is all just a coincidence and they probably just got lost looking for a frisbee or something, I suppose the masonic apologists will argue. [See Remains of ten bodies at Ben Franklin's home].

Illustrating Bratton's arrogance and indicative of the mindset that he is separate and above those he is supposed to serve, the chief once told a caller to a talk-radio show that if the public didn't like his lack of enforcement of immigration law they can leave the state.
Caller Steve: "The rest of your arguments are humorous. They're here illegally his job is to uphold the law." Chief Bratton: "In as much as California has pretty much indicated that they don't want us involved in that issue, we're out of that business. If you don't like it leave the state." While it's true that many of the Founding fathers were masons, several were not, and were adamantly anti-mason. John F. Kennedy gave a speech opposing secret societies, "secret oaths and secret proceedings" shortly before he was murdered. Masonic involvement is very common in government. We visited the site of the Branch Davidian Compound in Waco TX last summer, where 82 men women and children were slaughtered. Afterwards, I stopped by the Waco masonic lodge, which is coincidentally right next to the police department.
