Let us review what was said and reflect upon what was actually meant. No discussion is required at this point in time. At some point in time, we can return to this to review it once more and to reflect upon it once again. We have so much hope for change, the chances of us being let down are large but it is our own fault. Yes we did let ourselves be blinded by hope. Yes we did pay the rain maker. Yes we did throw the movement uder the bus. 

Yes, we did. And rain, will come in time. When it does come, the rain maker will claim he made it happen. And we will believe him because we want to believe. We're a religious folk. We're putty in the hands of the elite.
