Are Kroger Food baggers required to risk their lives?

Will this grocery bagger get electrocuted? Would her obituary (imaginary) end up saying that she was killed by being struck by lightening, while obediently returning metal shopping carts to the store from the store's parking lot?

My cheeks burned with embarrasment during my check out from grocery shopping. I was forced to listen to a "back - up manager" throw his weight around, threatening an employee - a bagger. In an animated and loud voice, this "back - up manager" named Guy at the Hyde Park Kroger store in Cincinnati, Ohio engaged in some chitchat, saying it's supposed to rain and storm tonight. Guy then gave unsolicited loud instructions to a bagger to go outside and collect lots of shopping carts, in a jockular and mocking manner, stating when it rains hard tonight, she'll be outside returning carts. This store is open 24 hours 7 days a week.
I've heard that Kroger employees are unionized. Hmmm. I wonder if they are required to collect shopping carts from the parking lot and return them during electrical storms ?
