I know exactly what the Democrats are doing. They finally got control of Congress with the help of dissatisfied Republicans, and now they are trying to woo these people into becoming Democrats, or at least to consider the Democrats when they go to the polls at the next election. This is all very nice, and politically it makes a lot of sense. The really hard part of this, the part I have a real problem with, is the fact that thousands of our young men and women have been killed and maimed and crippled in this war, and now Nancy Pelosi wants to play politics in Washington while more of our young people and innocent Iraqi's die, get maimed and become crippled. Simply put Madam Speaker-Elect, there is a time to play politics and there is a time top do what you were elected to do. I would like you to take a moment and think about what you are doing. While you sit in Washington DC and make nice-nice with the biggest killer on the planet since Pol Pot, our young soldiers are spending this Christmas season in Iraq dodging RPG's and AK_47 rounds and mortar shells from the same people they are training during the day to become policemen and Iraqi soldiers. Don't you get it?

This man you are entrusting our country to and supporting by taking impeachment off the table is the one that started this war, with outright lies and deception. He lied to the American people time and time again, when he knew in his heart that he was going to invade Iraq, no matter what out intelligence reports said. This is most likely why Secretary of State Powell quit the administration. This is the reason that you're Speaker-elect of the House of Representatives instead of Denny Hastert. Believe me Ms. Pelosi, it's not because anyone in enamored by the Democratic agenda, for crying out loud, you Democrat's didn't even have an agenda. The only thing you had to do was shut your mouths while acting as if you were against this war all along, which I might add, you were not. The majority of Democrats actually voted to give this irresponsible, spoiled brat that never really accomplished anything in his life, the authorization to use force against a sovereign nation that did nothing in recent years to warrant a full scale invasion of it's territory by the strongest military power on Earth! We as a matter of conscience should be out of Iraq and actually paying the Iraqi people reparations for what we have done to it's people and infrastructure over the last 3 ½ years. You know that what I am writing is true. I also know that it wouldn't be politically correct to admit it.

I also believe that you are willing to let this President, who at this very moment is still trying to subvert our Democracy with his spying and the CIA's Rendition Flights, and his signing statements, and his destruction of the Writ of Habeas Corpus, and his behind the scene manipulations to allow the torture of prisoners or anyone he considers a "terrorist", and all of his other Machiavellian maneuvering in order to create a fascist state in America, stay in power. You have taken impeachment "off the table". Why? Is it because you are worried that it will alienate your political party from it's new found Republican "friends"? Is that the true reason? Is it because you are more concerned about the next election than actually doing what is right for not only this country, but also for Iraq and the rest of the world? Are you going to quietly sit there while this bad excuse for a President refuses to talk to anyone who doesn't agree with every warped idea that comes out of his sick mind? Are you going to sit there and let the man that started this war, finish it? At what price? What are you willing to pay in lives in order to show that the Democrats harbor no ill feelings against this administration?

I believe you have no scruples. People are dying as we speak. American are tired, sick and tired of this war and everything that it is supposed to represent. This war is for what? Why are we fighting this? Who is it we are fighting with? Are we to continue to traverse the terrain of Iraq and just shoot back at anyone that shoots at us? We are involved in a civil war that we caused. Are you going to let the perpetrator of this civil war remain in power so he can cause more death and destruction? Shame on you. Shame on me for writing articles supporting your political party because I thought that you Democrats would put an end to this needless carnage that is taking place because of stupid religious ideas and oil. If you don't change this situation then you are responsible. Do not vote for another 130 Billion dollars to continue this war. We have 70 Billion dollars left of the original 350 Billion dollars. That is enough to bring our armies home. Stop the death and destruction. Stop thinki8ng as a politician and try to think as a mother and a human being that cares about life. Please.

I don't want to see more good money follow the money we have already wasted. I don't want to see more mother's sons and daughter's die. I don't want to see another Iraqi baby dead on a hot sandy street. I am sick. I am shocked at watching this country kill people for no reason again. I watched while we did so in Vietnam, and I'm watching while we do it again in Iraq. Have you people in Washington have no shame. Don't you understand that the rest of the world hates us? I spent almost my whole life in the military and I am starting to hate my own country for what it is doing. The people that caused the tragedy on September 11 2001 are in Afghanistan. Why aren't 140,000 soldiers there? I am an American citizen. I want answers. I want them now. I believe that I also speak for the majority of this country. You had better listen, time is not only running out on President Bush, it's also running out on you. It says in the Constitution that we have the right to change our form of government when it no longer meets the needs and will of it's citizen's. That time is getting frightfully close. Please think about what you are doing. Stop playing politics with a moral issue. This is not a time for politics.
