Harry Reid and the Nevada lawsuit against Sequoia

Hello All: I am a Nevadan battling the use of Sequoia
Voting Systems here in Nevada. Based on my knowledge
and experience with Harry Reid and the Nevadan
Democratic Party I am sorry to say that I find it
improbable to believe that Harry Reid will be
interested in challenging the performance and or
accuracy of electronic voting machines and here's
why...

Some years back Reid ran against John Ensign for
Senator. Sequoia Advantage Voting Systems decided
Reid's victory in Las Vegas wherein more than 50% of
Nevada's population is located. Ensign contended that
Sequoia's machines had malfunctioned and called for a
recount whereupon Reid was found to be the victor of
the Senatorial race. Since that time the Nevadan
Secretary of State has purchased Sequoia AVC Edge
systems for use throughout the entire state.

You may recall that Reid spoke at the Senatorial
hearings following the 2004 elections. Interestingly
he claimed at that time that Nevada had a full paper
ballot back-up for our voting systems. This simply
was not true. In 2004 Las Vegas was still using the
old Advantage machines without a paper back-up. Yet
Reid blithely misrepresented the facts. Further he
stated that African American voters had been harassed
at certain polling places; something he did nothing
about.

Also in 2004 Republican operatives registering Nevadan
voters were known to have destroyed Democratic
registrations. Additionally many African American
voters were telephoned and told a lie to the effect
that early voting had been canceled and or that the
election date had been changed AND Harry Reid did
nothing to correct these election injustices.

Therefore I am not surprised by Reid's reaction to
evidence that Ohio cheated Kerry out of the
Presidency. I just thought you should know the facts
about Reid. I close by telling you that Reid keeps a
tight-fisted hold on the Nevadan Democratic Party.
Therefore I have had no assistance or even interest
from Nevada's Democrats in my struggle against Sequoia
Voting Systems. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings
but I fear that neither Reid or the National
Democratic Party will be interested in challenging the
systems that served to elect many of them.
