The "Black Hole Diet"

By       (Page 1 of 1 pages)   1 comment
One Hairy, Big Black Hole "A black hole is defined to be a region of space-time where escape to the outside universe is impossible." (Wikipedia) With a new Texas mandate, in total, all police personnel have lost over 10,000 lbs. Incredible statistics, but it is true. Now all the other states are using the Texas' program as their model. How did they do it? Simple, all police officers gave up eating donuts and started just eating the holes. Okay, okay, it's a joke. It doesn't take too much thought to realize that holes and round pastries don't fit, though we can buy donut holes at Walmart. With the great Bush economy, the small businesses are going out of business in the U. S. as fast as bullets are used in Baghdad. But I do want to talk about holes, ... just Bush's black holes. Have you noticed the commercials on cable and local net bought by independent, non-governmental, drug providers like Blue Cross and Blue Shield telling us that the DRUG PROGRAM as administered is doing great? Why would those 'for profit' companies shell out big bucks, selling us on the idea that the program is working? Of course, like all of Bush's other programs, the commercials are a big lie. How can a program that has a huge 'black-hole' in it that treats everyone, regardless of income, the same way, be anything but shameful and represent one humongous "Black Hole" that doesn't work? Once the patient has reached the 2,500 dollars in benefits the Bush BLACK HOLE FROM HELL starts sucking the cash out of the old person on a meager income, until their individual health program kicks back in at $5,500. Can you believe it? Luckily, I have my own drug insurance, or we'd be forking over the 2,500, easily. Like most, 'getting older' means getting prescriptions. My expertise into the world of prescription drugs - "for the rest of your life"- started when I turned 40 with mononucleosis. Now over 60, I take about 2 dozen pills a day. Georgie-boy has a black hole in his brain. What in the heck is Iraq, but nothing but a black hole, sucking our soldiers, our money, and time down into a huge chasm, and everything associated with it, as well. Bush thought Iraq would be an easily attained black hole full of oil. Guess what? Black hole, yes, but just another one of Bush's failed companies or policies ending up in truly black hole. No Child Left Behind? Another Bush black hole. Great for the "for-profit" testing companies like Riverside, which make millions off of their educational contracts. Schools have to pay big bucks for the tests and the scores, but also have to pay for monitors, who watch the teachers and make sure the test-dots are not changed. The more mainstream universities are dropping test results as the main screening agent for applying students. The better institutions of higher learning are putting more weight into port-folios prepared by the students and teachers to represent who this student is academically. Every no-bid contract by the Bush administration, which according to my Bush-headed brother could never happen, is a black hole. Halliburton pops to the top, like a large marble in a sack of birdseed, when the bag is shaken. 60 Minutes had a segment on Parsons and The Baghdad Police And Army Training Headquarters. Sewage leaks out the ceiling onto the floors below. The bricks are not placed correctly which makes the outside of the building look horrible, and we've already paid for it. Now, thanks to Bush and the neocons, Baghdad is a black hole which is virtually in the center of a country that is quickly becoming sucked in. Define it how you may, but neighbors are killing neighbors. Life is not seen as sacred. Torture is the norm and death is the outcome. The neocon's great Iraqi representative experiment has turned into yet another black hole. Iraqis who can afford to, have left the country, unless they live in the Green Zone. Everything we build for the Iraqis are blown up and reduced to rubble. Even their own institutions are being targeted and torn apart. Universities, high schools, and grade schools are not seen as important. Chaos is the description. Death is the order. Teachers cannot teach, and parents keep their students home. Pride in their country and character in themselves has disappeared. And those who remain, shiver in terror behind closed doors. Katrina was and is a Bush black hole. Arbesto? Is it no wonder that Bush is an alcoholic. A black hole is one of the outcomes of alcoholic chaos and alcoholic black holes. One alcoholic parent will cause an entire family to react in an enabling manner, into a spiraling black hole. Time magazine has Condi Rice on the front page. This is the same Rice who was caught shopping for $2,000 shoes while New Orleans drowned. Why not? That is what black holes cause. Bush was faking it with a guitar while Cheney was out hunting. Two other examples of behaviors caused by black holes. Time believes that Rice can still make a positive difference in the world. This is the same Rice who parroted everything Cheney and his posers suggesting and verbalized it on every occasion as "a mushroom cloud, just over the horizon." Maybe Rice is the only positive force left in The White House, but she is still knee deep in the black hole and her reputation has been stained. Colon Powell? He will forever be stained by a black hole. Black holes may not be common in outer space, but they are much more common in our world. Once into a black hole, it takes a ten step program to get out of one, something Bush and his cronies aren't rushing to do. And now they are asking for 3 squatrillion more to keep their black hole sucking and working. What can I say? I choose a breaded donut with a hole in it, rather than choose Bush and his record of successfully making and maintaining "black holes."
