It is the Obama Campaign Who Has Been Playing the Race Card All Along

Ever since Obama lost New Hampshire, the Obama Campaign has been playing the race card.  They have been manufacturing race-based attacks on the Clintons fast and furiously at every opportunity.  If a black person claims that a white person is a racist, it must be true.

Come on.  Get real.

Claiming that Lyndon Johnson didn't play an important role in the 60's civil rights movement as Martin Luther King, et al, did is wrong – might even be considered racist.  But the Obama camp said it anyway.  They are still saying it.

Claiming that Bill Clinton denigrated Obama by observing that South Carolina voted for Jessie Jackson, too, is clearly playing the race card again.  “It was subtle,” they say.  “If you were black you'd understand.”  Horse manure.   Talking about political correctness going overboard!

How is calling Obama's claim debatable, that he would have if he could have voted against the war, dirty tactics?  There is no way that calling Obama's claim to be an improvable fairy tale is racial. It's a stretch past credibility.  Anyone, white or black, can tell a fairy tale.

It's worked, though.  Defending against the negative is hard under any circumstances.  And the Obama camp has taken a play right out of the Bushies playbook -- say it over and over again and people will begin to believe it.

According to Dawn Turner Trice of the Chicago Tribune these so-called racial attacks by the Clintons have hardened hearts and made resentment visceral.  It's these obtuse attacks on the Clintons that have hardened hearts --blacks' and whites'.

To say that the Clintons are using race against Obama is a bald face lie.  Many might even consider it ungrateful.  The Clintons have bled for racial equality in this country.

It's about time that the Obama campaign was called on their race-bating.  You can bet your bottom dollar that the Republicans will chop'em up and grind'em into the mud at each and every opportunity, without a thought.

The damage that the Obama campaign has done to the Democratic Party by driving in the race wedge is unbelievable and unforgiveable.  In so doing they have unintentionally driven a wedge between themselves and non-black moderates and independents whose votes they think they can garner.  They think wrong.

They will have won the booby prize instead.
