Republican or Democrat? Is that the choice each person's political and moral beliefs have been reduced to? I think it is. Independents, Greens, Moderates and more have little chance of ever becoming the norm until people can put down the armor that shields them from reality. Was there ever a time it was different? Probably not; however, as each election season comes around the denominator that divides us grows wider and sadly, the distance between us is never in the best interest of the whole of this country we call ours.

Special interests, personal agendas, opinions and moralistic high horses seem to be so much more politically driving than truth, integrity, justice, and humanity. Growth? The only thing growing in America is waistlines, Monsanto crops, corporate bank accounts and the deficit. Is there a way to stop this political train wreck we call a democracy? Can we become a citizenry that can look at the bigger picture of what we have become and say "No more"? Can we push the corrupters off the Hill and out of the White House once and for all? Is there a candidate that can embrace the true needs of a country without putting his or her own desires first?

How can 1% top 99%? It seems mathematically impossible. The epitaph of the United States of America will read, "Divided we fell" unless we let go of blind loyalty and take a good hard look at what we have done. Yes, we. You too are responsible for this mess we are in. Don't vote Republican or Democratic this November. As Einstein so profoundly said, "Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results."

Stop being a slave to the insanity that has gripped this nation for decades. If you want change then be the change. Gandhi had it right, "If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do."
