The question arises as to whether this Court has overstepped the line:
1. in appointing a president and
2. in effectively declaring the absolute financial power of corporations to influence elections and elected officials.
Is not such an extreme and radical modification of our legal system sufficient to constitute grounds not only for impeachment but also for indictment and trial for high treason since these two decisions alone have completely revolutionized the very character of our country while circumventing the constitutionally established mechanisms for the citizens to express their will.
Connect the dots. A pattern is emerging:
1. co-opt the media and disseminate hatred, outright lies and propaganda labeled as news.
2. Install a radical, authoritarian President by an unconstitutional selection which was not contested by the disputing parties.
This President then proceeded to further erode the constitution through signing statements, torture, rendering (read kidnapping), indeterminate incarceration without indictment or trial, even to the subtle substitution of the traditional American term "National" with "Homeland" (Heimatland) as in Homeland Security. The United States of America is a Homeland only to native Americans. The rest of us come from all sorts of "Homelands" but the Nazis used the term with effect in justifying the annexation of Austria and Sudetenland.
3. Scotus, through unconstitutionally selecting a radical authoritarian president, halting the voting on the grounds that "continuing the count would irreparably harm Bush", recently making the decision giving corporations massive powers to buy state and national legislatures as well as their executives, has prepared the way for solidifying these unconstitutional gains in law. Connect the Dots. A pattern is emerging.
A movement is developing for a constitutional convention to correct this "corporate takeover". I submit that this is a false flag movement. Why a constitutional convention instead of an amendment? Because a convention, convened under the false flag of correcting corporate personhood, would legally have ultimate unlimited power to completely throw out the present constitution lock, stock and barrel and install an entirely new one more favorable to authoritarian rule. Massive purchase of state and national legislatures could insure the necessary 2/3 vote in Congress and 3/4 of the states and it's done.
We're not there yet, but we're not far from the end game. One of FDR's greatest mistakes was that he didn't prosecute Prescot Bush and his Nazi gang of bankers for high treason. It might have spared us much in this new ascendance of the radical right. Hitler could have been stopped early but the abysmal financial state of Germany provided fertile ground for the populace to seek a savior and he offered the Communists and Jews and Versailles as scapegoats for venting hatred and offered salvation as by himself as the strongman. Our media are already offering terrorism, and Muslims, a strongman is yet to come.
Whether this recession is due to speculator greed or is part of a huge Shock Doctrine conspiracy by the banking community is immaterial. It's the results that count. The banking industry set out immediately after the bailout to repeat their fiscally lucrative but ultimately catastrophic behavior. Another crash, coupled with a massive media hate offensive should do the trick, create a shock doctrine environment to enable the finalization of an authoritarian takeover of the nation.
Conspiracy or merely a fortuitous confluence of activities of politicians of authoritarian bent? It's immaterial. Rest assured, when all the ducks are in a row, either by chance or design, there will be no lack of candidates to place the last nail in the coffin of the American democratic experiment
It should be noted that there is no statute of limitations for the crimes of treason, war crimes or crimes against humanity. Bush and Cheney have already made themselves vulnerable and Obama is fast moving in that direction.
