Poetry is the language of God. God is the Self and the Self is Nature. Nature speaks rarely in the deaf tones of the rationalized mind. Instead, She speaks primarily the language of senseless sensuous uncivilized passion. Nature is alive, not dead. She is erotic, not despondent.
Through our rational, logical and standardized culture, we have lost our lives. We are simply the walking dead. We are dead to our Self, for we are dead to Nature. Nature, Life and Self are one.
To be alive is to be naturally sensual. Freedom is being who we are in our naked essence.
May we let go of our rationed rational and logical minds embedded in the logic of the dualistic-stoned faced Greek philosophers. Ah, Plato, to be stoned is to be knocked out. Let's get truly high on Love! Is there any wonder our civilization has such a problem with addictions? We have no sensuality.
We die to be alive. So, to recover our sensuous experiences, we turn to drugs and alcohol. But what are these but the elixir of death! Drugs, alcohol, television and other mesmerizers and sensuous deniers are not what the Soul yearns for. The Soul yearns for belonging and a sensuous melting into unity. Oh, lose thy rational mind and see that within and without are not two. Here is the poem that poured forth through me in one of my moments of ecstacy:
May we hug trees
While dancing in nude ecstasy
In the dripple drappling reign of the mind's awakening
sparked by the thunderous pouring rain.
May we even experience in our earthly reign
The fullness of our human pain.
Just let us be aware and alive
In order to transcend strife in order to strive
For a loving embrace of this warring world
