INFANT MORTALITY! Is corporate profit more important than U.S. infants?

How the big corporations are involved in the deaths of our U.S. infants. Shocking statement to make and whoever states such had better be able to prove it. Read the proof!

U.S. capitalism equates that money/profits are more important than the deaths of our people. The salaries/bonuses of wealthy Directors and CEO's is more important than ensuring the proper services are available to address such a necessary issue of the deaths of infants. There is no disagreement from U.S. individuals the most innocent and in the most need of our protection are our infants. Then why is it that we do not hear a single statement to address infant mortality from any of the political arenas? (Good question)!

General George Washington stated during the 1787 Constitutional Convention:

"It is the one of the evils of democratical governments that people, not always seeing & frequently misled, must often feel before they can act right --- but then evils of this nature seldom fail to work their own cure. It is to be lameneted nevertheless that the remedies are so slow, & that those, who may wish to apply them seasonably are not attended to."

Statistics released by a credible source, the United Nations, World Population Prospects report (2011 revised report http://esa.un.org/unpd/wpp/Excel-Data/mortality.htm, CIA World Factbook, https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2091rank.html ) The U.S. is number fourty-nine (49) in comparison with the rest of the countries in the world. The number of infant deaths, one-year old and younger per 1,000, is 5.98% in the U.S. in 2011. Countries that rank above the United States may surprise you:

1-       Monaco = 1.80%

2-       Japan = 2.21%

3-       Bermuda = 2.47%

4-       Singapore = 2.31%

5-       Sweden = 2.74%

6-       Hong Kong = 2.90%

7-       Macau = 3.17%

8-       Iceland = 3.18%

9-       Italy = 3.36%

10-    Spain = 3.37%
