She was a passionate advocate for peace, and by some accounts she was a major influence as JFK sought detente with the Soviet Union and normalization of relations with Castro. A year after the JFK assassination, Meyer had figured out just who had killed him and why, and she had planned a press conference and public release of documents she had discovered, just before the Warren Report was to come out. She was murdered by the CIA. |
