According to calculations by Center for American Progress Director for Fiscal Reform Seth Hanlon, the 30 percent minimum tax for millionaires laid out by President Obama in his latest State of the Union Address would raise $73 billion per year, while affecting just 0.1 percent of taxpayers. The average tax increase for those affected would be just 2.2 percent. |
