Dragibus: Medicinal and Entheogenic Plants

Follow Me on Twitter     Message Burl Hall

ENVISION THIS...a culture increasingly open to exploring the botany, cultivation, history, and usage of medicinal and entheogenic plants and delving into the lore and mystery surrounding them.

Our guest, Steve Rudd, is editor of Dragibus Magazine , a new  quarterly print publication of articles that relate to medicinal and entheogenic plants; their cultivation, identification, historical and cultural usage, and their related compounds.

The most widely known and controversial entheogenic plant is, of course, cannabis, which has been used medicinally, ritually, and recreationally for thousands of years.  In his article, "The Current State of Medical Cannabis," Steve Rudd points out, "Cannibus is finally making its way back into the medical field as a valid medicine...for relief of pain, nausea, vomiting, anxiety, and loss of appetite for chemotherapy and AIDS patients.  Cannibis has recently been shown to fight several types of cancer, including skin, lung, brain, and prostrate cancer...We will just have to wait a see what the future of medical cannabis holds."

Yet, Cannabis is far from the only focus of Dragibus and its editor, Steve Rudd. They explore subjects that fall within the general range of medicinal, ethnobotanical, and entheogenic interests, such as: medicinal usage of entheogens, cultivation of rare or difficult species, herbal brewing recipes, and entheogen inspired art.

Steve will share with us why he feels that openness to  exploring these topics will help us to move toward a better, healthier, more sustainable future.

Join us tonight, Wed Night 12/12/12 to listen into this important topic.  The url for this on-line radio show is:  http://blogtalkradio.com/envision-this. ; If you can't make it tonight, the show will be archived for your convenience.
