Keene, NH - June 18, 2006 - Hundreds of libertarians from all over America, as well as from places as far away as the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation, will converge in Lancaster, NH this week for an activist boot camp and a push to complete the recruitment of 20,000 liberty-oriented people to move to the state.
As people all across America are frustrated with ever-growing government at all levels - deficit spending, rising state and local taxes, eminent domain abuse, invasions of privacy - and as elected representatives from both major parties seem focused on taking power away from the people and giving it to the state, citizens are looking for a way to reverse the trend. Many are looking toward the Free State Project - a strategy for reducing the role of government in their lives.
The freedom festival (June 23 - June 25) will prepare Free State Project participants to move to New Hampshire by familiarizing them with the communities across the state, job opportunities, and state and local politics; as well as by discussing political strategies to change the shape of government.

The Free State Project is a plan for 20,000 liberty-oriented people to move to New Hampshire and work within its political system to reduce the size and scope of government.
