I have an idea for a movie.Everything goes well for a powerful US politician. He had made a name on the relentless pursuit of terrorists. He sits on the Homeland Security Committee and other places where he vehemently fights for more and more security measures. He promotes a Bill to legalize torture. He also works with CIA and other organizations to infiltrate the US police in order to profile domestic terrorism. Domestic surveillance enjoys his unwavering support. He is on top of the game and enjoys an immense popularity. His party bosses want him to run for President. His wife gives him great sex. His children call him their hero. His dog goes with him to the office. His secretary loves him for nothing. His constituents had decided to erect a statue in his honor. With the bi-partisan support he promotes a new Bill to install mini- nuclear missiles on the drones. Also he wants to include into the Bill a provision of using drones against the OWS and other similar disturbances. That provision will be called 'crop dusting'. Congress loves him and he counts on the President's backing.
Still he feels something is wrong. Terrorists abroad mutiply and become more vicious. US citizens, the expats have to come back-they are all targeted, even kids. In the US itself many places had become practically off limits- they kill any law enforcement officer entering. Mexican cartels are flourishing and had established a union with the Arab extremists. Something is wrong, something is fueling all that and he is the one who has to uncover it. He allocates time, assembles the team and goes to work. He works diligently and meticulously until he finds out the shocking truth: It is him.

no head, just with the fangs, the one who kills like a dog, whenever the master unleashes it.
After that revelation, very carefully he starts to discuss it with others. The results are overwhelmingly negative. His party bosses scold him and call him mad. His wife turns out to be a closet lesbian. His kids tell him to get help. His elderly father says that he is ashamed of him. His secretary breaks up with him and goes for his assistant. His constituents erect a public toilet around his statue. They decide not to put him on the ballot for reelection. The Bills he promoted are still there but not under his name. He had become an outcast. In a fit of desperation he wants to commit suicide by jumping out of the window. After completing the suicide note he opens the window and looks down below.
Down there, under the street light a solitary protester stands with a handmade slogan. Our protagonist remembers now that man standing there forever. He stood there in rain and shine, in storm and calm, day and night. Seems he never left. Our man looks down below and then looks around his office. What's there is really his? He remembers that he has a law degree and also studied hard on some math courses. He figured out that such man, a man with his kind of determination and skills could be useful on the side of real peace and real goodness. He then collects his belongings and takes an elevator down. On the street he approaches the lonely protester. They both pull out that big electronic screen he was presented by his former cronies. On the screen they draw an enormous middle finger pointing at his former building.
The End.
I would advise that the OEN readers suggest the actors and directors for the movie. I think Oliver Stone would be a wonderful directorial choice. As for playing the protagonist I suggest Harrison Ford.
I really think we have a chance to get an Oscar here.
