The 2012 Presidential Election

What we are seeing is fragmentation.   Which is beautiful.   Which is powerful. Which is detrimental beyond words.   What am I talking about?   Well that's a good question.

Are you tired of the status-quo?   Are you tired of the corporate and bank owned duopoly? Are you tired of seeing Mitt Romney and Barack Obama on every news channel, everyday?

Are you ready for five more months of this?

 

I know that I'm not.

 

So what are we doing?   What's the remedy?   Well, we're all running to our respective corners, like a giant caucus that isn't getting any of us anywhere. We have factions supporting Jill Stein, factions supporting Rocky Anderson, you have your Modern Whig proponents and your Reform Partiers.   There are collectives of other third party, independent and write-in candidates and we're all running around squabbling; confused and chaotic like chickens with our heads cut off.

 

I'm not saying that any of these parties and/or candidates are bad or wrong, that's not what I'm here to do, honestly.   If your conviction leads you to write-in Buddy Roemer, then do it! He's a fantastic guy and I can personally say I'd love to see him at the helm of this great nation.   I'm sure the same could be said for every other person vying for the most powerful position on Earth (save for Mitt Romney and Barack Obama).

 

And here's my point.   We should coalesce. We should find a way to come together.   We should have our debates and make our conversations, and come November 6th, 2012, we should go to the polls in a unified fashion.   The big corporations and the big banks, the DNC and the RNC, Obama and Romney, they aren't looking for us to fail because they aren't even looking for us to show up.

 

The Tea Party rises up, and they defeat it with their media arm.   We Occupy Wall Street and they defeat it with their media arm.

 

They aren't counting on us to fail; they suspect they've already won.   And even if Romney wins, Obama wins, and even if Obama wins, Romney wins.
