To a Soldier:
Thank you for fighting for American interest's abroad. It take's a special person to execute the good fight in a bad war. I imagine that you do not get any better information in Theatre than we do on Main Street. Things are getting "gamey"- back here in America.
The POTUS has subverted the constitution of the United States of America. The POTUS has committed treason by falsely documenting the reasons for War, and "outed"- a Covert agent of the Central Intelligence Agency in the process. The POTUS has ordered the Torture of innocent men even though as a country, we abhor torture. Why are no charges forthcoming?
It appears that the Judiciary formerly led by Alberto "I don't remember"- Gonzales, has been transformed into a subsidiary of The Executive office. Checks and Balances that governed us for 200 years are now being overrun, as the POTUS see's fit. Gonzales has been replaced by Michael "I'll eat the POTUS's sheeeeeat, if you'll pick the corn out of my teeth afterward"- Mukasey with full Democratic approval. That's right; you thought it was just a Republican Thang. But presto-chango, the Dem's are supporting the POTUS, and his "end of the world"- policies. Try as we might to bring you boys home, the Dems have undermined us at every turn. It turns out that we are surrounded by our enemies.
Remember Chicago 1968? Well both parties' conventions looked like Storm Troopers from Star Wars had landed. All protests (even non protests) were smashed with an iron fists and "Flash ""Bang"- grenades. Inside delegates drank champagne and ate lobster.
Last week, Wall Street crumbled. In response the POTUS, gave 700 Billion and counting of your taxpayer dollars, to the filthiest of the filthy rich. Your grandparents will soon be getting a letter informing them that due to the financial crisis, their Social Security and Medicare benefits can no longer be met. Your little brother will never get a chance to go to College, because your family can not get a loan. You can not sell your home, there is no one in a position to buy it, and if there was, the banks are selling homes they foreclosed on for 50% off, so you would need to give it away. Yep, things are getting gamey I told ya, they have all the exits covered, no one is leaving alive.
Finally, there are no jobs available that will pay half of a Living Wage. Many of us are eating food we would have thrown out two years ago, so save your MRE's; you'll need them when you get back. Knowing you will return to desperation, and will most likely grab any rope thrown to you even if it is off the deck of the Titanic, here's the BIGGIE: The POTUS will ask you to bear arms against your fellow countrymen, to squash any dissent or protest between the TWO AMERICAS. You will need to be prepared to kill us, as we already have our backs up against the wall. When this happens, any remaining hope that even a glimpse of our former country could be retrieved, will die.
Their America. Our America.
I invite you to sit down at my fire and share my food, share my roof, if I have one. I have enough room in my yard for 200 men. We are in this together. We can rebuild a better America together. Either refuse to participate or turn your weapons against the overlords, turn them over to the resistance, and fight for the only country any of us has ever wanted to live peacefully within. Remember, your sworn oath was to defend the United States of America, not frag it.
