'Make no mistake about it, what we're witnessing here is a catastrophe on multiple levels.

It is, of course, a political catastrophe for Democrats, who just a few weeks ago seemed to have Republicans on the run over their plan to dismantle Medicare; now Mr. Obama has thrown all that away. And the damage isn't over: there will be more choke points where Republicans can threaten to create a crisis unless the president surrenders, and they can now act with the confident expectation that he will.

In the long run, however, Democrats won't be the only losers. What Republicans have just gotten away with calls our whole system of government into question. After all, how can American democracy work if whichever party is most prepared to be ruthless, to threaten the nation's economic security, gets to dictate policy? And the answer is, maybe it can't.'

P. Krugman, NY times,  August 1, 2011 ( The President Surrenders...)

I was trying for  a long time to understand the cause of the strange behavior of the paralysis of the President who came to power on the wings of change and on the enthusiasm beyond any expectations.   And if we put aside all the political posturing, intrigues, MSM explanations about polls and other things, if we just concentrate on the character of a man the answer becomes  sadly obvious: he is a coward. It is that deeply rooted spiritual cowardice  that we see demonstrated again and again from the moment he was inaugurated  practically on the Gaza blood and said nothing, through the treacherous danse of the unfortunate Healthcare reform and  most helpless behavior during the BP crisis, furthermore through the shame of the so-called Bin-Ladin raid and off to the culmination of all of this - surrender   of the power itself.  No, it  was not about  money or about economy. As Krugman rightfully pointed out above- it was and is about the way the government functions. It is about who is in charge and who   makes decisions. Apart of the deeply entrenched  liason people who know  how our masters operate to the whole world Obama had shown that a small group of nutty demagogues can and will win the game in the most powerful country in the world  for  the one and only one reason - because its President is a coward.

Civil cowardice, the  trembling of the spirit  is a part of all of us and  none of us is perfect. We all have families, we all are afraid of losing the job, afraid of the bosses, investors, etc. But Obama is afraid of the people. This so-called organizer is afraid of the very people   who support him. He desperately distances himself from them, betrays them on every corner and  while doing so becomes more and more  unfortunate and miserable, becomes a patsy who comes out  to the podium to explain the decisions made by others. His degradation as a human being is transparent and profound.  If I was a foreign investor I certainly would seek to withdraw my money from the US investments because her government is in paralysis and  her problem  is her leader.

Spiritual cowardice in the politician  points not only at the  flawed personality but  also at  the  deep lack of professionalism. Obama reveals himself as a hopeless amateur. Real polticians, national statesmen know the secret: you make compromises when you  try to reach power but when you are in power others make compromises with you.  That's the key but to use it you must know your goals and love the people. None of that we see in Obama.   For a long time he propagated the image of himself as a man for all people and that resulted in the total loss: he is lost. He  is nothing, he has no convictions, nothing dear to him, no friends, no followers, no future. It does not matter if he wins the Y2012 elections- his soul had been amputated. If I were the GOP I would have promoted him as a candidate.

Eat your checkers, folks. We asked for bread and we received a stone.  This will teach us that never must we put our hopes on one person, that only a movement counts and that  cowardice is a universal vice  whether a person is black or white, man or woman.  This is bigger than disappointment  though we are currently experiencing. This is a broken heart.
