This link takes you to an excelllent article about Cheney and his henious deeds about and in prisons.

The privatized prison industry has been with us probably even before the privatized electronic voting machine industry.  Back in the eighties when I was more involved  and up-to-date on this, the privatized prison industry was among the fastest, if not the fastest, growing industry in this illustrious democracy of ours. I would guess it still is, and the article above seems to indicate this.

Not only does the USA suppress the votes of people of color, but the governent also suppresses the lives of people of color - klling them literally and also killing them in our prisons literally (see article above) and also killing them by putting them in prisons.   African Americans, and probably Latinos also, are languishing in our holding cells, jails and prisons - young boys,  men of all ages, and women too, but mostly men - in such dispropriationate numbers, that even a quick glance can make visible the racism involved.

Home is also where the war is.  Let's not forget that fact as we live in our privilged white skin and those who have priviliged male gender and let's remember the oppresssion of gays, lesbians, bi and tansgender people (rampant now with the marriage ban spreading) , elders, the list is very long.....

I wish there was a stronger word for racism - the racism that is pandemic in our society and that imprisons people of color in another pandemic.

Yes, I know Obama is an African-American and we just elected him president.  That does not preclude all the racism that has been with us forever (we came and killed the Native Americans) in the USA.  I am eager to see what Obama and now Holder do about the holding cells, jails, prisons that snuff out the lives of people of color.

So, YES, Cheney, et al. deserve to be indicted now for the murder here at home of so many,  not only for their immoral wars in Iraq and all over the planet. The war at home on people of color in our holding cells, jails, and prisons and death penalty  is no less important than that war everywhere else.
