Robert Lockwood Mills is the author of five published books, including two personal biographies. His historical docudrama, 'The Trial of John Wilkes Booth,' was broadcast by Connecticut Public Radio in 1999. Three of his essays have been published by FreePress. Now a Florida resident, he comments on public issues with a particular emphasis on election fraud, which he witnessed first-hand as a pollwatcher in Florida in November, 2004.

Response to NY Times Magazine cover story:"Can you count on voting machines?" The national media,and the Times, weren't listening before or after Election Day [2004].A week later,and notwithstanding 57,000 protest calls (from "the fringe") to an 800-number in the first 48 hours,the Times dismissed all complaints as the work of "Internet bloggers" and "conspiracy theorists" in a front-page article.The tacit message was,"Pay no attention to all this talk."Now,evidently the Times has been born again...

The Gainesville Incident The U of FL made a good-faith effort to elevate the national debate on pressing national issues by hosting a forum to which Sen. Kerry was invited as featured speaker.In the spirit of open discussion,attendees were invited to pose questions for Sen. Kerry afterward.Things got testy,and the whole affair will be remembered not for its goals but for its climax..Meyer's questions,all of which deserve answers haven't been answered
