The Tail of Two Women: Betsy Chapman and Renisha McBride The article describes the lives of two African-American women, separated by generations and time, crossing paths in the city of Detroit where millions of blacks from southern states fled to escape state sponsored violence. In this city, Betsy Chapman who died in her home and Renisha McBride who was murdered on November 2nd. Betsy Chapman was nearly 104 years old and Renisha was 19 years old.
