Norquist pledges likely to trigger GOP death knell Grover Norquist insistence that Republicans remain loyal to him and his "no-taxes" pledge will conflict with their oaths of office to "preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States." Either those GOP officeholders will have to back away from the "Nordquist dogma" or risk the ire of some 80 percent of the voters back home.

GOP coalition unsustainable The Republican Party future is in doubt, not because of the lack of money but rather because the various factions that make up the party have no common ground. The Nov. 6 election that left Mitt Romney speechless and Newt Gingrich "dumbfounded" left a party that has no glue to keep those factions from attacking each other.
