I grew up in Rwanda in the 80's and early 90's. In my short lifetime, I have seen that country go more and more backwards with time. As other nations around the world progress, Rwanda remains mired in ethnic hatred that has been exacerbated by the violent wars that have been waged by the extremist Hutus and the extremist Tutsis led by General Kagame. The wars between the extremist Hutus and the extremist Tutsis have at times been open wars and at other times silent wars such as today. Extremist Hutus are famous for the massacres that took place between April and July 1994 that resulted in the massacres of hundreds of thousands of civilian Tutsis and moderate Hutus. Extremist Tutsis are not very far behind, having killed 40 thousand innocent unarmed Hutu civilians in one day on February 8, 1993 in northern Rwanda and millions of Hutus between October 1, 1990 and December 2003. I used to be silent about the challenges facing Rwanda. I used to think that with time, these issues will resolve themselves. Since 2010, as I saw Kagame's extremist Tutsi government becoming even more extreme, I could not take it anymore. Kagame's extremist supporters have offered various excuses as to why Rwanda should not be a democratic nation that abides by fundamental human rights. I have joined the chorus of people speaking out for democracy and human rights in Rwanda. I truly believe that making sure that Rwanda abides by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, that every single Rwandan citizen is guaranteed the fundamental human rights enshrined in it, is the only way to move forwards as a nation. I speak out to let the extremist Hutus and the extremist Tutsis led by General Kagame that we moderate Rwandans have had enough of their extremism and that they need to stop taking us hostage in their struggle for power. We do not want extremist Hutus to terrorize us, we do not want extremist Tutsis to terrorize us. We want to live together in a democratic society where every single article in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights applies to every Rwandan citizen.

Rwanda Circa 1994 is No Nazi Germany The mainstream media narrative regarding the tragic events that took place in Rwanda in 1994 seek to portray an image of evil Hutus suddenly killing their own evil leader and proceeding by butchering their angel Tutsi neighbors for no reason whatsoever. This narrative claims that all Tutsis are good people while all Hutus are bad people. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here is an introduction to extremist Tutsis.

Medical student intern found guilty because he survived genocide, how you can help him stay alive The case of a medical student intern who has been told by a Canadian court that he should either have been killed by the militias during genocide. Or that he should have fled leaving a hospital full of patients behind. The fact that he stayed alive was used by the court as proof that he is a "war criminal" and ordered him to be deported to Rwanda where he will likely be killed. You can stop this by e-mailing a minister.
