The Root of September 11 -- The Love of Money On Sunday, February 13, 2001 a group of Muslims attended an event where a group of "patriotic" protesters held signs that read, "God Bless the USA". But as 'Sharia Law' and 'Jihad' are demonized in Western media and by our elected officials, a closer look reveals another side to the story.

Comedy: How the Markets Really Work As in America, some of the greatest British journalists are comedians. Watching "The Last Laugh" with John Bird and John Fortune, the same can certainly be said in Britain as well. This is a transcript of this insightful comedian team discussing how the market really works. It is especially insightful considering this was recorded

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: "Media Isn't Doing Its Job" There's two big failures in our democracy. One is all the corporate money that's going into our election process, and the second failure is that we have a negligent and indolent press that has simply let down American democracy.

Jury Nullification: The Right of Free Americans The last refuge of freedom -- our great experiment-- has turned its back on the very thing that made this country great--our Constitution. Where the "rule of law" was once king, we see everywhere its desecration. What then can the people actually do about it? One word: Nullify.

Jon Stewart's Epic Rant Against CNBC Transcript Wall Street is "mad as hell, and [they're] not going to take it anymore!" Unless by 'it' you mean 2 trillion dollars in their own bailout money. That - they will take. Now, Mr. Santelli was invited to come on this program, and accepted the invitation, but on Friday, cancelled or I guess the phrase would be 'bailed out'.

Seven Years Later, Burning Questions Still Smolder After 2536 days of waiting, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued a report on the collapse of World Trade Center 7 On August 21, 2008, NIST found that the building which many engineers and architects believe was the result of controlled demolition, collapsed due to fire (the third steel framed building to do so in history--following WTC towers One and Two).

America: Awash with "Duty Honor and Country": A Redux On this date (May 12) in 1962, Douglas MacArthur delivered his famous "Duty, Honor, Country" valedictory speech at the United States Military Academy. The original speech may be read here, but I have made small changes so that it might be a more fitting address from the shores of the Gulf of Mexico to a dying America 48 years later.

Ralph Nader: Isn't Citizen Action Fun? Do you see the greed? What's the synonym for greed? Infinity! There's no limit to corporate greed. And when you combine corporate greed and power? There's no limit. They get slaves--sweat shops overseas or dark streets in New York City where they are working for a buck or two an hour--60-70 hours a week. It's like slavery. And there is no end to it unless we subject it to the rule of law and subject it to political control.

Federal Real ID: A Solution Looking for a Problem This has been a solution looking for a problem. But what it's doing is give the federal government the right to track you. I haven't found a 10-year period when the federal government hasn't violated individual civil liberties. This is information that should not be held by the federal government--because you can't trust them. They've demonstrated that for the past 100 years and I suspect the next 100 years would be the same.

It's time to take Mother's Day back! If we are to celebrate Mother's Day in a way that truly honors our mothers, let us bring the occasion back toward its original intention. In commemoration of the sacrifices of Gold Star Mothers, let us spread the word of Julia Ward Howe's Mother's Day Proclamation. It is my sincere hope that one day, Howe's dream of a "general congress of women" shall meet to help usher in an era of peace on Earth.

Pat Tiberi, a Republican currently holding the 12th Congressional seat at the People's House, has gotten the local daily printing company's endorsement for Congress. Hopefully, CDPC readers will remember the past 'judgment' of its past endorsements–including George W. Bush for president.

Exhausting Our Hope When I honestly look at the ability of weathermen to accurately predict a decent 5-day forecast here in Ohio using all sorts of high-tech gadgetry which tracks current global weather patterns, I definitely doubt the wisdom of Al Gore and his followers to use the measurements of one (harmless) trace element encased in ancient ice and predict with absolute certainty the coming catastrophic change in our weather.

It's a tragedy that we who want to improve this country, defend our principles, defend the Constitution, and want to have a descent process are treated this way. What are the odds that the Commission of Presidential Debate will become fair and balanced? None!

Anthrax Could Terrorize Again The important issue to realize is this: there is today in existence a stockpile of super, weapons-grade, anthrax that is under the control of the original perpetrators of the Anthrax attacks of October 2001 and that stockpile can and will be used against the American people. They could launch another attack on US--including the Congress, the Judiciary, and the media.

[Not So] Funny: The [Fat] Cat[s] Came Back Since the beginning of trade, the fat cat banksters just won't go away. Economists continually try and sell the public the idea that recessions or depressions are a natural part of what they call the "business cycle", but recessions and depressions only occur because the Central Bankers manipulate the money supply, to ensure more and more is in their hands and less and less is in ours.

The question is, if Pat Tiberi exercised his influence to abridge the freedom of the press at home, can he be trusted to defend the Constitution in DC?
